We celebrate our 14th birthday as a church this month. Needless to say, we have a lot to be grateful to God for. Many lives have been saved and transformed. Sicknesses have been healed, bondages have been broken in the lives of people, much spiritual, educational and economic potential has been released in the lives of people and many have been discipled and equipped for Kingdom Work.

Nonetheless, my excitement lies in the fact that the best is yet to come. In fact, I salivate when I think of our future as a church. I see our future as so bright that I actually need some sunshades just to look at the brightness. I believe a firm foundation has been laid and God is about to put up the structure. I believe the seeds have been planted and watered and God is about to bring the increase.

Why am I so optimistic? The answer is simple:
Ephesians 3:20 and Philippians 4:13.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power that works in us…I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

The Holy Spirit is telling us two things this month:

  1. God is poised and willing to do a whole lot more than we are asking Him to do in our lives and in His Church.
  2. We as individuals and collectively as God’s people can do all things…no exceptions!

This is why I am so confident of your future and my future and the future of God’s church.

We are each wearing a wrist band that says: “I believe Jesus Can.”

I want to ask you to do three things this month:

  1. Write down seven things that you want Jesus to do in your life and in His Church.
  2. Pray and believe fervently that Jesus can do those things for you and that you can do whatever you are believing Jesus to help you accomplish.
  3. Use the wristband as a reminder to tell someone about Jesus.

Jesus can do all things. Let’s take Him at His word and believe Him. You can do all things.
