Our theme for this year is “Reclaim” and our text is Deuteronomy 31:8; “Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

This year, I have a sense of urgency that we must pray, act and believe God to help us reclaim every blessing that the enemy has stolen from us from birth until now.

Mark 9:23 says “Everything is possible for him who believes” If we truly believe, I am confident God will honor our faith and fill our mouths with wonderful testimonies all through this year and even beyond.

As we pray and exercise faith to reclaim our blessings, however, it is also important to remember that the blessings of God are tied to obedience. We cannot live in disobedience and expect God to shower His blessings upon us, no matter how much we fast and pray.  Many times, we tend to quote the blessings and promises of Scripture but we do not put them in the context of obedience and we get disappointed and angry at God because we do not receive the expected results.

February is our Stewardship Month.  It is a time in which we reflect over our financial faithfulness to God and position ourselves through the Word of God to be blessed financially.  I want to challenge every one of us to resolve to be financially faithful to God this year and trust Him to help us reclaim every financial blessing that the enemy has stolen from us. My prayer is that every one of us will be faithful in giving our tithes and offerings to God.

Remember God’s word in Malachi 3:10-12; “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “And see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it…then all the nations will call you blessed for yours will be a delightful land, says the LORD Almighty.

To reclaim our financial blessings, we must reclaim our financial obedience to God.

Let us reclaim our blessings by reclaiming our obedience to God.

This is the year of RECLAIM.

Be blessed,

            Pastor ABK
